A path to no regrets

In 2009 Bronnie Ware wrote an online article called Regrets of the Dying about her time as a palliative carer. Working with dying people and developing close relationships with them during their last weeks resulted in raw, honest conversations about life and death, including what the patients wished they had done differently.

The five most common regrets she identified were:

  1. “I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.”
  2. “I wish that I hadn’t worked so hard.”
  3. “I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings.”
  4. “I wish I’d stayed in touch with my friends.”
  5. “I wish I’d let myself be happier.”

Ware’s list is a fair reflection of what many of us might say to ourselves when we are close to our last breath.

We’d like to add one more regret to Ware’s list, which is:

“I wish I hadn’t settled for less than my dreams.”

A path to no regrets

Close your eyes.

Imagine you are towards the end of your life looking back on what has passed. How does it feel to see your life unfold without any regrets whatsoever? What does that life look like? What experiences have you enjoyed? What difference have made for yourself and your loved ones?

Now open your eyes and dare to dream.

At CWM we dare you to dream and then we help you to make those dreams a reality. In that way you can have little or no regrets in the future.

The journey you take, has you at the centre and us as your guide. It invites you to open your mind, we inspire you to explore your dreams. We then help you to turn those dreams into a reality, creating a life full of rich experiences and small day to day pleasures (if this is what you dream of).

At the core of your Business Plan for Life is creating a state of Financial Wellbeing. It is your Financial Wellbeing that will generate the confidence that dreams really can come true.
